and Waiting....

This morning I went to a consult at the Cleft and Craniofacial Center at Golisano Children's Hospital- Looks like they are going to get Noah in very quickly for surgery after he comes home...First for surgery on his lip, most likely ear tubes and a mini Rhinoplasty and then 3-6 months later his palate surgery.
It was all very overwhelming, at the same time very reassuring. They want to repair his lip asap so that he can start working on his speech- I just had no idea it would happen so quickly!

We are still waiting for our LOA and looks like we may be waiting for quite awhile yet...My "August" travel goal is now an October travel goal and that may be reaching a bit!!!

This Sunday August 2, is Noah's 2nd birthday!! It is definitely bitter sweet because we were really hoping to be with him on his birthday, we are hoping he gets the care package on time that we are having sent to him and that we get some photos of him enjoying his birthday cake! We were able to send him a letter as well which is being translated for him and his foster mom, but cant replace us telling him in person how much we love him and showing him with hugs and kisses!

This has definitely been the hardest wait so far. It does help having two busy little people at home to distract me though, but to be honest in my spare time I'm checking out other blogs to find out who has gotten their LOAs/TAs, how long it has taken etc and then "estimating" how many more days we will have to wait....

I feel your pain! Happy Birthday Noah and Lilah Rose! WACAP told me that our LOA should be anyday now (day105) and that there are 3 other families with the same LID waiting as well. Let's hope for a big package this week with all of our LOAs!
best,
Anne
