Well, I guess better late than never...we had a wonderful holiday this year. First of all there was lots of snow a definite plus for Christmas- nothing better than looking out at the snow covered woods with a toasty fire in the fireplace. We are truly enjoying our new home. It is meant for this kind of weather. The week before Christmas we went to a party at Ooma's house and Ephram loved his Lightning McQueen hat and glove set he got from Ooma. We had Alan's sister Dina and her daughter Anna from S.C. staying with us for Christmas which was the first time we've ever had guests here. It was so much fun and it was so nice for Ephram and Frances to get to spend so much time with them. I wish Anna lived closer because Ephram and Frances just loved playing with her and couldn't get enough of her! Frances loved getting her fisher price little people camper on Christmas morning- she calls the fisher price people her "girls" and has named one of them after each of us. After spending early morning doing stockings and our gifts to the kids, my family came over and we celebrated Christmas again, and then later in the day Alan's family came over for the Pogroszewski Christmas. It was a full house, but we feel so blessed to have been able to have everyone here and believe it or not as stressed as I was the days before about having everything ready, the day itself was not at all stressful and we were able to just enjoy spending time with everyone.
The kids were at such fun ages this year, especially Ephram who really got into the spirit of the holidays and all the excitement of Christmas morning. Frances just went with the flow, although even today every time she sees a picture or person on t.v. with a white beard or a hat with a white pom-pom she calls him Santa clause. Ironic because she screamed every time we even walked by him in the mall.
We're looking forward to an even more exciting (ie: chaotic) holiday next year with two 2-year olds and a 5 year old!
