How lucky am I?

So, my mother's day started like this....I'm in the shower, the bathroom door opens and in walks these too with their little I love mom/#1 mom t-shirts on and the cards they made in their hands, Frances yelling, "card, card!" They had made cards with Daddy this week and Ephram made a wonderful attempt at "Happy Mother's Day". I also got a beautiful homemade card from Alan (though much more elaborate) with photos of the kids in it, he does such a nice job of this and gets very creative!

I get into the kitchen to the wonderful aroma of breakfast...are you ready for this? We had bacon, eggs, sausage (not the links either!), toast and...donuts!! I would have included a picture but I figured as yummy as it tasted it might not have looked so appealing! I usually have a bowl of cereal for breakfast, so today was a splurge in more ways than one...neadless to say I was proactive and chugged some pepto before leaving the house! We then went to the lilac festival which was beautiful...but COLD! Yesterday we were in shorts and t-shirts, today I wish I had a winter coat! Ephram loved smelling all the different lilac bushes trying to decide which one smelled the best, we'll come back this week on a warmer day too and then next sunday is the 10k race so we'll be there cheering on Daddy. Hopefully it will be alot warmer!
After the festival we walked over to Peligrinos' which was one of our favorite places to walk to from our old house in the city. We even managed to eat a little even though we were all pretty stuffed from breakfast.

I cant believe that in 3 years I've become the mother of 2 and another on the way! Life has changed so much, it's more work, more stressful and more chaotic, but I'm happier than I've ever been and feel like the luckiest person in the world right now!
I hope all you Mom's out there had a wonderful (well-deserved) day with your families!
