One Week Home!!

Well, it's been a week and it has been wonderful! The kids continue to get along great...though becoming more typical "Mommy, Noah is looking at me!".
Frances continues to be a bit of a mother hen to Noah and for the most part continues to love to hug and kiss him (and rub his head!)
Having 3 is different, but has not YET been overwhelming. My first full day alone Alan had to work until late at night, I managed to feed, bath and have all 3 kids in bed by 7:45pm- Yes, I was very proud of myself!
We have been trying to keep Noah around the house for consistency and bonding and it is working very well, He does well with both Alan and myself though tends to be my little shadow. He is doing better sharing attention than I thought he would and it has been very easy to continue to give attention to all 3 kids. I was very much afraid that when I got home Frances would want nothing to do with me since she is very much a daddy's girl, but it has been just the opposite and she and I have been doing quite a bit of bonding as well which has been wonderful!

Noah slept through the night last night! He has been in his own crib in his own room since day one, but initially was only sleeping a few hours at a time and needed us in the room to fall (or fall back) asleep. The last few nights however he has been fine to fall asleep mostly on his own.
He had his appt on Tuesday with the surgeon for his lip/palate. After a quick look at him they decided that instead of repairing his lip now, they were going to repair his palate and do a lip adhesion- apparently when the original repair of the L side was done in china, the gums just pushed out to the right side- now the lip adhesion will stitch the upper lip together to act as "braces" to help push the upper gum line back with the plan of then doing a full lip repair next summer.
This wed we have to go to the ENT to see if he will need PE tubes put in his ears as they will do at the same time as the cleft surgery. Per our pediatrician he does seem to have fluid at least in his right ear so I am anticipating the tubes.
It will be interesting to find out how much his hearing has been affected after the tubes are put in. We know he can hear, but not to what degree.
The first pediatric an appt went well, he is in the 25-30th percentile, she is wondering about some bowing of his sternal area of ribs but feels may be d/t nutrition. overall she seemed to feel he is doing very well though did continue to caution us on how much his life has been turned upside down and to lay low for awhile.

Here at home he is an excellent eater (though not for vegetables, I tend to mix baby veggies into his foods), LOVES typical American kid food (mac and cheese and spaghetti) and can eat a full 3 waffles for breakfast! He tends to be last at the table now replacing Ephram who likes to dawdle at the table. Noah on the other hand spends all the time eating!
He has almost no interest in TV/movies and though our kids don't watch much at all every now and then they get to choose a movie. Tonight was the first time he showed an interest, of course it was to Frances' pick "barbie and the 12 dancing princesses"

Noah remains quite Noisy and communication has been difficult. Initially he did not want to try to sign at all he is now coming around and will usually sign more, please, thank you and can also sign mommy, help and eat- though not as consistently.
He is overall very happy guy and when he does have a tantrum (which are very few these days)it is short-lived and he recovers quickly when he realizes it's not working.

somehow we are all recovered from the time change and we are doing very well! We really couldn't ask for things to be going any better!
I've included a few photos of what we've been up to this week!

Yes Frances is quite the fashionista! She chose quite and ensemble for our hike in the woods...love that hat!
