So, last Sat am I heard Ephram say "Frances what are you doing out of your bed?" We were wondering how long it would be and I have to say I was just telling Alan we should try to keep her in her crib as long as possible. Well after I tried to get her to nap and she climbed out 3 more times- and quite quickly I might add, we had to made a dash to babies r us and my dad came over and helped bolt her dresser to the wall, I put up an extra tall gate (if she could climb the crib she would have managed the gate we had on her door) and we put a mattress and boxpring on the floor. Needless to say she LOVES her new big girl bed, it was a bit tricky getting her to sleep that night though. We tried to be firm, we tried to cuddle with her (she wouldnt have any of that ) then I tried sitting outside her room on the floor while she wore herself out- she was in/out of the closet, bouncing on and off the bed, I tried the firm-thing again, that didnt work, finally she was so tired she just cried until I rubbed her back and sang her to sleep, it took awhile but she finally settled in. Last night it only took an hour and after I got her down I cried a bit because it is so sad that she is growing up so fast. Tonight it was another hour but she let me (actually wanted me ) to cuddle with her which was so nice (hard to do in a crib) she asked me to rub her back and then rubbed mine right back!
I couldnt resist taking a photo of her and Ephram sleeping- This is how he sleeps every single night!
