We got new pictures today!

Unfortunately I cant share them with you though...Not until we get our Letter of Acceptance which could come anywhere from..well NOW if we were really lucky, to 3 months from now.
BUT-today I got an email from Ann at redthread China who is forwarding a care package to noah from us and she had gotten new weights and measurements and 4 new photos which are like gold!
I dont know how accurate the measurements are, they seem to be consistent with the ones we've gotten in the past showing pretty decent weights all things considering.
According the the measurements we got today, Noah is 25lbs and is approx 31 inches tall and has 14 teeth!
The photos are great and if they are recent, then he has not had any further surgery on his lip but the side that was repaired looks wonderful.

While we wait we have plenty to keep us busy including a new load of paperwork- which includes some special "extras" because only one of us is traveling and a huge stack of papers that just need to be signed by both of us. We also get to start researching flight options/where to stay both in Noahs province as well as in Guangxhi where we complete our journey. I'm going to call our credit card company and see how many points we have to see if that will help at all for our flights.
For those of you who dont know I will be traveling with Alan's sister Dina while he holds down the fort here at home.

In other adoption related news...there is a family there right now that has been quarantined b/c someone sitting behind them on the airplan tested + for the H1N1 virus. This poor family is at a hotel in Bejing and the father is at a local hospital since his test came back + as well. They traveled with their kids from home and are hoping to be able to meet their son next week. Thank goodness they have been in frequent contact with the embassy or it could be much, much worse I think.

On a more positive note, there is a family on one of the online groups who got their Letter of acceptance in approx 27 days! (We are at about 37) so although the average is 2-4 months to wait for this...I can still be over-optimistic!
Of course we have done absolutely NO preparations for Noahs room yet and I need to start stocking up on all the prescriptions and over-the-counter meds we will need when we travel, But first the paperwork...

Hi Jen,
I know the wait for LOA is BRUTAL! We are on day 69 and hating every minute of it. Your family is so beautiful, I've enjoyed reading it. You never know, we may travel together, in this crazy international adoption world, we could get TA at the same time!
best,
Anne
