Updates....

Nothing really to report here, but since I am a blogging maniac tonight I figured I'd post what we know. After the I800 approval our file was cabled from the National Visa Center to Guangzhou...now we wait for what is called the Article 5 which seems to be taking anywhere from 8-28 days and then the Travel approval which again can take 10-28 days. Still anticipating travel in November, early in the month hopefully. I'm getting ready to send another letter to Noah and this time I'm going to include some important questions and hopefully we'll get more photos! I think I may send another album with more photos of us all too, especially if I can finish up his room I'll include a photo of that too.
We are also requesting via our agency that Noah stay in foster care until the day we meet him, sometimes the children are removed from foster care and placed back in the orphanage for a few days or even a few weeks. We are requesting that this not happen. From what we have heard from other famlies, this orphanage is good about keeping the kids with their foster famlies but we're going to make to request just to be sure. It's going to be hard enough on him going from his family in China to us.
Speaking of "US" It looks like Alan is going to be going with me for part of our trip. Things could still change of course but the plan is that he will go with me for the first week in Nanning to meet Noah Zhen Xing and then he will fly back home to hold down the fort here. I will then fly to Guangzhou with Noah and will meet up with Alan's sister Dina who will stay the final week of our adoption process in Guangzhou. I'm thrilled that Alan will be able to be there the first time we meet Noah and that he will be able to see the province where Noah was born and spent the first 2 years of his life. Dina on the other hand gets to be in Guangzhou for all the good shopping!
I"ll try to be better about posting, especially as it gets closer to traveling!
