Well after many very long flights we made it to Nanning today. Nanning is known as a green city...boy is it ever. On the drive in from the airport everything was so lush, green with beautiful flowers. LOTS of scooters/bikes/motorcycles. Nobody has the right of way here, it's pretty scary actually.
Our guide's plane dosent get in until tonight so we were on our own. About 2 blocks away is people's park which I heard about but it was way, way bigger than I thought it would be. A huge pond/lack with pedal boat, small motor boats you can drive, Koi, amusment rides, playgrounds. It is again all very green and reminded us both of a tropical central park. It will be a great place to take Noah and Alan is already excited about going for a run there tomorrow morning.
We are staying at the majestic hotel, it's not bad. Our room is small but clean, we obviously have wireless, the beds are rock hard, will be difficult for us I have a feeling since we have a huge pillowtop mattress at home. Went to dinner at a restaurant next to the hotel, the food was fine, we didnt venture out too much today, will talk to the guide more tomorrow.
She is meeting with us at 10am to go over the plan for the afternoon when we get to meet Noah.
