In Guangzhou!

Wow, what a day today! We all headed to the airport for our flights out of nanning, Alan going home and me and Noah and another family to Guangzhou.
Noah was definately sensing something was happening this am when the suitcases were packed and was not happy when our suitcases were taken down to the lobby.
He has been getting used to Daddy and was just starting look for him, even gave him a high 5 today and here we go pack daddy off to fly back to rochester.
We knew I was in for a long haul when we got to the airport, Noah was very fussy...then came the plane ride...He was NOT happy, in fact the entire flight he spent crying or screaming or throwing his body around-thank goodness the flight was just a little over an hour.
It didnt stop there either..the entire 45min-one hour to our hotel it continued.  it was a terrible time for flight, taking into consiideration all he has been through this last week, saying goodby to daddy, moving to another hotel, a noon flight, missing naptime...oh and he's two! This little man has been through so much I cant even begin to imagine what he is feeling/thinking!
In the middle of all the kicking, he somehow kicked one of his shoes off...we only had one pair!

Now we are at the victory hotel on Shamian Island, Guangzhou...what a difference! The hotel is beautiful and so is the island-the little I've seen so far.  Noah took a little nap and we headed out to buy some shoes and to rent a stroller since mommy's back is getting sore. Everyone here is very nice and the entire island really caters to adopted families. The store next to our hotel let us borrow a stroller for the week free and dug through 3 huge bags of shoes looking for something in Noah's size- finally we settled on a pair that is just a hair big but he loves them. He also Loves the stroller and it was a nice break for my back.

Tonight we went to a thai restaurant next to the hotel with some other families from our agency which was excellent and a nice change of pace.
Noah is now settling in his crib and hopefully as we settle in here he will start feeling more secure again.

I am on a computer in our room and dont have the camera hooked up right now so the pictures will have to wait again...I did send some with the last post but for some reason they wouldnt go through. Tomorrow though I promise pictures.

Speaking of tomorrow- keep your fingers crossed it goes well, noah has his medical appt and this means quite a few vaccines and a TB test. I think afterwards we may try the playground for a bit.

Today was not an easy day,I know it will get better but right now Noah is seems to be grieving his life before  and I am really missing my family! The island seems very peaceful and calm so hopefully that will help us get through this next week...that and Dina!
