Here he is!

Whoa...talk about anxiety! There we are waiting in the lobby to go into the business office and Noah walks in someone from the orphanage. We couldn't approach him but by the look on our faces they knew we were his parents so they kept trying to get him to look at us and we got some photos from a distance.
He seems to be in some shock- rightfully so. For about 2 hours he just clung on. If I sat he climbed up so his arms were around my neck. He is alert and looking around but nothing we brought to entice him with even peaked his interest. Very flat affect. We cant even imagine all that he has gone through and how traumatic this must be for him, and at only 2 to have to go through all of this!

He is so handsome and I will say he is  good size! After about 30 minutes my arm was sore!
After signing more papers we met the other family from our agency and our guide Jane at the restaurant we went to before. This time she helped us order and we found out there were many other things on the menu. I didn't eat much, Noah needs a lot of help eating. He takes a standard bottle with a wide hole very nicely and finished some formula and ate quite a bit of Congee. He does need to be fed and seems to have trouble moving the food to the back of his throat to swallow. He had a definite interest in my noodles and won tons and I have a feeling he'll be eating quite a variety of food by the time this trip is done.
After he ate a bit we got to see him get a bit more playful. He let me tickle him and was all smiles! So far we've heard just a few coos out of him but it was nice to see him respond a bit more.
We got back to the hotel around 7:15, gave him a sponge bath, I sang a song, laid him in the crib and within about 3 minutes he was out cold and is still sleeping. we could tell he was just exhausted yesterday.
He does seem to be somewhat potty trained, not sure how we will manage this since he is not used to western toilets and there is a definite communication issue right now.

A wonderful thing though is that the agency Grace and Hope for Children who worked to get a sponsor for Noah so he could be in foster care dropped off a disk with about 50 photos and 5 reports from over the past year.  There are photos of his foster family in there too and we are so happy to find out that he was very obviously loved a great deal! His foster parents are older and since there was another foster baby there Noah was raised mostly by his foster dad which may explain why he went so willingly to me and was a bit more apprehensive about Alan (Since he was already so closely bonded with another male)

All in all things are going wonderful right now and we know as the days progress we will start to see more of his personality, we also know he may start to grieve soon and we need to let him do that. Today we have a lot going on, things to sign, all the legal documents to complete, and then Jane is going to take us shopping somewhere..walmart? I may need to buy some more clothes for him and shoes. the ones he came in were brand new but a bit tight and his feet seem about the same size as frances'.

I'll definitely keep posting, it is such a joy knowing he is finally with us!  Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers!
